IN THIS LESSON

Breath, outlet and consent

Consent: underarm, chest wall and breath work need specific consent. Name the area and reason, confirm draping, offer the option to decline, and agree to a stop signal before contact.

Scope boundary: soft tissue and breath work only. Do not diagnose vascular, cardiac or neurological conditions, and do not claim to release nerves or vessels.

Stop rule: stop on dizziness, visual change, faintness, chest symptoms, shortness of breath, increasing numbness, or any withdrawal of consent.

Referral rule: refer for chest pain, shortness of breath, unexplained swelling, or progressive neuro or vascular signs.

Documentation note: record specific consent, area, draping, baseline, input, retest and any adverse response. Do not record vascular or nerve release claims.

This lesson is about thoracic outlet style pathways and breath mechanics, using consent gated chest wall and underarm work. Arm heaviness overhead with pec minor or scalene tenderness points to an outlet style pattern.

Take an overhead arm baseline, apply consent gated pec minor unloading and breath input, and retest. Observe the symptom response. Do not claim to release nerves or vessels.
