IN THIS LESSON
Graded, gentle, honest
Consent: scar and sensory field work need specific consent. Confirm the scar is healed and cleared, name the area and reason, offer the option to decline, and agree to a stop signal.
Scope boundary: graded sensory and movement tolerance work only. Do not claim to repair, break down or remove scar tissue. For lymph, do not treat over infection or unexplained swelling.
Stop rule: stop on pain flare, skin breakdown, increasing sensitivity, or any sign of infection such as heat, redness or swelling.
Referral rule: refer for unexplained swelling, heat, redness or infection concern, non healed wounds, or post surgical complications.
Documentation note: record consent, scar status, baseline, graded input, retest of sensation and movement, and any adverse response. Do not record tissue repair claims.
This lesson uses light, graded sensory work around healed tissue, and respects lymph safety. A healed and cleared scar that feels tight or hypersensitive responds to graded input, not to forcing the tissue.
Take a sensation and movement baseline, apply light graded input, and retest. Keep the language honest. The scar tolerated more movement is accurate. I fixed the scar. For lymph, do not treat over infection or unexplained swelling.
